Mrs. Johnson’s and Mrs. Welch’s grade one students learned about the different states of matter and how a solid can change into a liquid and into a gas. They added liquid root beer to their solid scoops of vanilla ice cream, creating foamy gas bubbles. At the end of the science lesson, they each got to enjoy their root beer floats. Learning science with hands on activities is the best way to learn!
