As the grade four and five students in Ms. Mazinani’s class read the book “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio with their teacher, Ms. Mazinani, they explored the theme of kindness and tolerance. It is a great book to discuss issues such as acceptance, inclusion, over coming challenges, and the importance of good friendships. The students created a template that was passed around the class for each classmate to write something important or kind they noticed about each other.
